Gunton Cliff, Lowestoft.

Walk from Links car park through to Tramps Ally and back along the foreshore. On arrival the sound of CHIFFCHAFF. On North Dene's there was a roving flock of LINNETS with (4) GREENFINCH along side car paark. Walk through the first wood brought in WREN, JAY, CHIFFCHAFF, MAGPIE, WOOD PIGEON. After this the same small stuff which where all calling well and trying to set up territories. I had a flyover PIED WAG and little else to show. I then went to the foreshore and walked back to car park. As I arrived the regular ICELAND GULL put in an appearance on the car park drinking from what was left of the pool and flew of North again. Out at see I could only identify (1) RED-THROATED-DIVER but there was on estimate about (50?) CORMORANTS trying hard to fish well out at sea. They were continually mobbed by gulls but nothing else. This group had with them very interested GANNETS about 8 birds in all who again joined in the feeding frenzy. Otherwise it was left to a really big bull seal to put in an appearance. Latter in the day while travelling through Lound a large BARN OWL flew through which considering it was a bright day was a surprise.
