Carlton Marsh

A very confiding GREENSHAK juv, flew in giving it's call as it touched down. It was on show off and on for an hour. Which gave me the opportunity to share the sighting with a dozen visitors. Explaining the movements of our  waders. The only issue was I miss identified it as a Wood Sandpiper. A single GWE and a pair of STONECHAT and a very smart Migrant  Hawker. Also 2 RED KITE and several COMMON BUZZARD.

In my garden a very odd parasitic wasp.

Regular call in, with the sun still shining and no sign of rain. It's a very long time coming. There is no doubt about what was the best bird of the day. Our resident KINGFISHER putting in a good view. Also so good to see 5 HOUSE MARTINS. As well as a single SWALLOW.

The first LESSER EMPEROR

Anglesey Holiday

Back home for me, to the place of my birth. Long time ago now. It is a long old drag and gets no nearer. But an enjoyable time with family.

This was my best ever encounter with a RAVEN who took an interest in us for over 20 minuets, What a great bird and what a pleasure a simple thing like this can bring. Also on site at RSPB South Stack. Also STONECHAT, GANNET, LINNET, SWALLOW,

Meet the scruffiest ROBIN in the world, fist bird seen where we stayed at Gaerwin, Anglesey.

South Stack gave itself its due reward with this CHOUGH and his three compatriots.

As for the RAVENS one was absolutely a good friend.
