Falmouth AK Wildlife Cruise

You have always to be prepared for the worst whenever you head out to sea. In fact you are lucky if you even get out. But on this occasion all went better than anyone could have dreamed. What a day, a day to dream about. I took over 860 pictures and only a few can be shown here but at least you will get a flavour of the 8 hours at sea.

First off is the four FINE WHALES which gave us a worthwhile show.

And now for DOLPHIN with this very unusual  hybrid COMMON + STRIPED DOLPHIN

SOOTY SHEARWATER

Any idea on this? ( To me a juvenal Manx.)

CORY'S and GREAT SHEARWATER

                                                 Cory's heading over two Sooty
                                                                    Great Shearwater

THIS O E LOOKS RATHER ODD TO SAY THE LEAST?

What is odd is the rounded wings and tail and again the beak looks thine and long. I just don't know.

We saw the capture and release of ATLANTIC TUNA.
