Good to catch up with DOTTRAL three birds with STONECHAT, CHOUGH, RAVEN, DUNNOCK, MEADOW PIPIT with a flock of 30+ ROOK,JACKDAW,CROW, WHEATEAR, CHIFFCHAFF.
RSPB Conway:
Best bird here was a single WOOD SANDPIPER, With WILLOW WARBLER, SWALLOW, SAND MARTIN. LESSER WHITETHROAT. WHITETHROAT,
Llangollen Hights Thuresday early.
This visit to the moors was the main reason for the few days away. I have always wanted to see a leck of BLACK GROUSE and it did not disappoint. With 16 and a female at one area and 8 in the other.
RSPB Burton Mere:
1 CATTLE EGERET, and the best SPOONBILL you will ever see. It was an amazing male RUFF with female REEVE, GREENSHANK, and a pair of SPOTTED REDSHANK, Also a flock of 50+ BLACK TAILED GODWIT, In far distance a confusing view of GREAT WHITE EGERET. REED WARBLER, SEDGE WARBLER.
Little Neston.

Parkgate:
Again 3 GWE making our count along this stretch 6 birds. Also pulled in a single SNIPE. A small flock of BTG and then cod and chips.
Prestatyn Gutter:
As we walked in a reeling GRASSHOPPER WARBLER which one of three, also BLACKCAP, WILLOW WARB, CHIFFCHAFF,. But what was unusual was a PERGRINE resting on beach. REED BUNTING and SEDGE WARB. Also on beach was a single WHIMBREL.
Pensychnant Nature Conservation centre.
This is an amazing place and with CUCKOO and PIED FLYCATCHER it was true to form.
RAF Valley: Friday.
This was the first place we visited with POCHARD, G-C-GREBE, SEDGE WARB, REED BUNT, C-WHITETHROAT, KESTREL G-L-GEESE, CANADA GEESE, TUFTED DUCK. SAND MARTIN and HOUSE.
Holyhead Inner Harbour:
Reason of this visit was to catch up with BLACK GUILLEMOT 6, RAVEN 1, SHAG 3.
South Stack:
There was only one PUFFIN, FULMER, GUILLEMOT 3000, RAZORBILL. SWALLOW, SANDMARTIN.
Cemlyn Bay:
Movement of MANX SHEARWATER 100+, GANNET all heading East to West. Two WHIMBRAL flew in and four RED-BREASTED-MER, But the real purpose was to see the SAMWICH TERNS.
Bywyd Gwylit Glaslyn: Saturday.
Rough weather with Storm Hanah coming in meant that OSPREY was well huncurd down. So a head is a head, HOUSE MARTIN,CHIFF, BLACKCAP, HOUSE SPARROW.
