Fritton Woods
Walk round produced several COAL TIT in amongst the usual Tit flock. With WREN and ROBIN for sound. The calling of GOLDCREST from the tops of the firs is enough to make you stand on your head after a while. The best bird however was a SHORT-EARED-OWL which flew on South side and over to Haddiscoe Island. Flew just 200 yards away, but photo's in setting sun not good. Also put up one WOODCOCK and a MARSH HARRIER quartered low over reeds just as sun was going down.
