It's been along time since I last planted my eyes on a BLACK CROWNED NIGHT HERON. The last one at Holkham Marshes. What was good about this sighting was firstly the venue, that being Lound Lakes which brings it into Lizard Land. The other interesting feature is there are two birds one obviously more well adorned than the other. With large hair doo and more colour to it's legs.

Pathways Care Farm
Spring is trying hard to get in gear, but getting out of first can take some doing. But at least with a pair of kingfishers and a pair of mute swan, we live in hope. But just to prove the point a Brimstone, Comma and Peacock put in an appearance. Then a singing Dunnock brought the sound of spring to the ear.

Sparrows Nest
Not Good to look at past records for here, and to say disappointment, it's a fact. But then it is what it is. At least a single CHIFFCHAFF was singing away. GREAT TIT, BLUE TIT, WREN but also fascinated with the RED TAILED BUMBLEBEE. Who was taking a sortie around the flower bed. This bee was also looking for somewhere to settle and nest.
