Well I did get to see the FERRUGINOUS DUCK but it was not the best view one could have .But at least it’s their on this year’s list. Also managed to pull in a single BLACK-TAILED-GODWIT, RED KNOT,DUNLIN, RINGED PLOVER,REDSHANK.  All seen on Peto’s Marsh. On Carlton Marsh a single fly-by of a WOODCOCK, also MEADOW PIPIT, CETTI’S WARBLER and REED BUNTING. GREAT SPOTTED WOOD and a GREEN. There was also three pairs of GREY HERON.

Flixton Marsh Lane

While on the way home I just gave it a few minuets to walk up to the far cottage. Plenty of small stuff around with GOLDFINCH (50) and a group of noisy HOUSE SPARROWS (14) with MOORHEN (7) in one group. On the back picked out a stranger in the form of a HARRIS HAWK. Obviously a rung bird but through the scope a really good view. Also on grain silo at Lowestoft our usual PEREGRINE FALCON.

Links Road Car Park, Lowestoft.

Just thought I would take a look and sure enough the ICELAND GULL was very obliging. Altogether took some 30 photo's. I and another birder watched until the usual dogs sent it flying. But the twenty mineuts was good. This bird is deffinatlt getting lighter in colour as the year progresses. Also had a HERRING GULL with white ring. Number A5YG. Sent record of to colour rining scheam.
